School Food Service

We provide nutritionally balanced, free meals for students each school day through federally assisted meal programs.

Children who are hungry find it hard to stay alert and participate in class, so we help close the readiness gap with a good breakfast before school begins.

We also plan lunches that provide one-third of the recommended dietary allowance for school-age children. Our menus include a daily variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Like last year, the program provides grocery benefits to families with school-aged children in households at or under 185% of federal poverty guidelines.

Families will receive $120 per eligible school-aged child.

If you received Summer EBT last year, the benefits will be loaded onto the same card. If you need a new card, call 1-888-979-9949.

Benefits are issued as a one-time payment and should arrive by late June. Families who are enrolled will receive a notification letter in the mail.

If you are not enrolled in the EBT program and believe you qualify for benefits, please visit this link to check your eligibility: https://feedingky.org/sebteligibility/

To apply for benefits, visit this link: https://kysebt.ky.gov/
